Wiveliscombe Evangelical Congregational Church

Our main Sunday services are normally at 11.00 am and 6.00pm. We warmly welcome everyone, and you'll find the church buildings in Silver Street. Limited Car parking is available at the chapel with additional Car Parking in the Croft Way Car Park behind the Community Centre and in North Street. We are an independent, evangelical fellowship, founded in 1662 - we've been in our present chapel since 1708 - yet we're looking forward to the future.

Within these pages, you can learn more about our heritage but more importantly the people who make up the church and our vision for the future.

Adjacent to the chapel is the Silver Street Centre which comprises of a main hall capable of seating up to 100 people with two additional syndicate rooms and these facilities are available for hire.

Hello!

We're a friendly and welcoming church in Wiveliscombe in Somerset (UK). I am pleased that you have visited us here on line, you are always welcome at the Chapel in Silver Street.

Richard Dawkins claims that God is a delusion and that religious faith is the root of all evil. But a series of remarkable scientific discoveries show that the universe we live in is a very unlikely place, precisely adjusted to make our lives possible. The first of a series of six videos exploring how cosmic fine-tuning points towards the reality of a creator God, featuring John Polkinghorne, David Wilkinson, Rodney Holder, Peter Williams and Graham Swinerd.
